Tecno Phantom V Flip: Unveiling the Latest Foldable Smartphone
The forthcoming release of the Tecno Phantom V Flip is generating significant anticipation. While Transsion Holdings, the parent company, has not yet confirmed the official launch date, there’s been a tantalizing glimpse on the Google Play Console website, where it goes by the model number AD11. The listing suggests that the Tecno Phantom V Flip will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 System-on-Chip (SoC) and is expected to run on Android 13.
Tecno already has a foldable smartphone in its lineup, the Tecno Phantom V Fold, which made its debut earlier this year. Recently, Pricebaba shared revealing screenshots from the Google Play Console listing of the Tecno Phantom V Flip. These screenshots provide essential details, including the model number AD11, 8GB of RAM, and the use of the Android 13 operating system. The device is also expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, paired with the ARM Mali G77 GPU. Additionally, the listing showcases a full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1,080×2,640 pixels and a pixel density of 480ppi on the flip phone.
The Google Play Console listing also includes an official-looking image, offering a sneak peek at the Tecno Phantom V Flip’s design, featuring a hole-punch cutout and a gracefully curved display.
Tecno has yet to officially acknowledge the Tecno Phantom V Flip’s existence, but earlier leaks hinted at an October launch. When it does arrive, it’s expected to come in Film White, Minimal Black, and Periwinkle Purple color options.
Leaked information about the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G suggests it will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED full-HD+ primary display and a 1.32-inch AMOLED outer panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. Under the hood, it’s likely to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. On the camera front, it’s expected to sport a dual-camera setup at the back with a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor, while the front may feature a 32-megapixel camera. Keeping everything running is a robust 4,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
Tecno already has the Tecno Phantom V Fold in its portfolio, released in April in India with a price tag of Rs. 88,888. As the Tecno Phantom V Flip prepares to enter the market, it will likely face competition from the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and Moto Razr 40.
