ChatGPT Plus Unleashes Custom-Made GPTs for Specialized Tasks
A GPT may be created to be the ultimate authority on all things Lord of the Rings.
What you should know?
ChatGPT Plus now offers a new “”GPTs”” functionality that may be customized for unique use cases.
A tech advisor, laundry buddy, or sous chef are some examples.
It is as simple as having a conversation and providing it directions and expertise to create one.
Choose what it can do, such as search the web, create photographs, or analyze data.
ChatGPT Plus’s most recent upgrade added an unusual feature to its membership: the option to construct custom GPTs, which serve as customized chatbots tailored for certain purposes. You can create these GPTs by simply giving ChatGPT instructions and knowledge and selecting parameters for it, such as whether it is permitted to explore the web for answers or if it must keep to only material provided by you.
I can think of several applications for it. Consider putting in all of the Lord of the Rings books, as well as the Silmarillion and other officially published writings by Tolkien and his son, all regarding the history, myths, and legends of Middle-Earth. Then you could ask that Chatbot anything you wanted to know about LOTR or ask it to produce a lore-accurate short narrative in the setting.
Another way a custom GPT could be useful is if a corporation included all of its Standard Operating Procedures/Knowledge Base articles into a bespoke GPT. Then, if an employee needs to know what to do in a specific case, they might consult the GPT rather of browsing through hundreds of articles.
It would be like having your own personal training department on hand to assist new hires or when implementing new processes. Furthermore, the training staff could delete old content and replace it with fresh to keep the GPT updated with current guidelines and processes.
To begin creating a custom GPT, you must first join up for a ChatGPT Plus membership, which you may do on the ChatGPT website. It costs a pretty hefty $20 each month, but you can cancel it at any time. I don’t think ChatGPT has done a good job of describing how to create a GPT on their website. You should be able to make one by simply supplying natural instructions to ChatGPT.
You can select from hundreds of GPTs that are tailored to a certain objective, such as creative writing, marathon training, trip planning, or math tutoring. Because there is no coding required to make a GPT, you can construct one for practically anything with simple instructions. ChatGPT.com
While their website does not provide a comprehensive description of how to create a GPT, the firm does provide a live demonstration of how to create a bespoke GPT during the OpenAI DevDay Opening Keynote. Take a look at this video. It demonstrates the promise of using natural language to build. ChatGPT now has a GPT tool called “GPT Builder.”
The presentation depicts a GPT being made to assist a startup founder in thinking about their business ideas and receiving advice, but the video takes a turn when the chatbot is supposed to interrogate the founder about why the company is not expanding quickly.
The demo begins about 26 minutes into the film and thoroughly explains the principle of GPTs. This demonstration drew great applause in a relatively quiet room.
How do you make use of GPTs?
I can imagine many applications for this technology, particularly in the artistic sector. With recent announcements by gaming publishers such as Xbox collaborating with Inworld for AI solutions to video game development, imagine creating a bespoke GPT that is trained and taught to only speak in high fantasy English, or better yet, is trained in Elven and can generate Elven voice acting audio for voice actors while also providing subtitles in English.
This isn’t that far-fetched, as we previously revealed that the newly released Galatic Civilization IV: Supernova uses almost 8 hours of AI audio to replace the voice performers. You can even utilize AI to translate the voices of voice actors into another language, such as Elvish.
Another application in gaming might be to give the GPT a unique voice. Consider GTA6 to have GPT-enabled NPCs who can talk to you about anything. It would be similar to playing on a role-playing server, but in a single-player mode.
The problem is that GTA has a distinct conversational style and employs slang and other unique components of the English language, such as accents and, to be honest, vulgarity, that the typical chatbot would struggle to replicate. However, if Rockstar could create a custom GPT that they could tweak with everything of their written conversation and storyline so far so that it could grasp the tone and voice of the GTA 6 universe, it might provide a degree of immersion never before seen.
