Samsung plans to address the issue with Vivid mode by including a toggle in the upcoming update for the Galaxy S24.
Samsung began delivering the Galaxy S24 flagship phones recently; however, some early users encountered a problem with the screen mode of the new devices. According to several reviews, the screen does not display colors as vividly as anticipated in Vivid Mode, and the firm has acknowledged the problem.
Now, a tipster named Ice Universe reports that Samsung is developing a solution that will enhance the vibrancy and allow for precise adjustment of it. It is a three-part choice and is expected to be included in the upcoming software release.
The initial stage involves the default saturation, where the Galaxy S24 panel is more vibrant than the natural choice but not as intense as what Samsung used to provide on earlier phones.
Moving the toggle to the middle, or the second position, will bring the S24 display closer to the vibrant S23 hues, while the third option is said to surpass that.
The switch seems to be located in the Advanced Settings of Vivid Screen mode, which is a section of the Display Settings. It will be located underneath the White Balance settings, where a user can manually adjust the RGB values of the display.
The noticeable mode problems are not deterring a significant number of customers, as Samsung has raised its shipment goal for the Galaxy S24 series. The goal shifted from 12 million to 13 million units for the first quarter of 2024. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the most sought-after among the three, with Samsung stating that it has received 65% of pre-orders for the large phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a titanium frame, and a new telephoto camera.
