Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 at Launch Events in North America

Samsung intends to conduct distinct launch events in North America for the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. The forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled to take place in Seol, South Korea, will serve as the platform for Samsung to unveil these cutting-edge foldable devices. Although the official date remains undisclosed, reports suggest a possible introduction on July 27. However, recent news reveals that Samsung has made plans for separate launch events for these devices in North America.

As per a report from MySmartPrice, Samsung has scheduled dedicated launch events for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 in Canada and the United States on August 11, 2023. This timeframe aligns with Samsung’s customary schedule for unveiling new foldable phones and smartwatches. While detailed information about these events is currently limited, it is anticipated that Samsung will showcase a range of innovative devices alongside foldable phones.

During the event, Samsung is expected to unveil not only the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 but also other highly anticipated products such as the Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Earlier reports have already alluded to the release of the Galaxy SmartTag object tracker, which is anticipated to make an appearance during this event.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are anticipated to incorporate a novel hinge mechanism and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Conversely, the Galaxy Watch 6 series will largely retain the same features as its predecessors but will be equipped with the Exynos W980 processor. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to reintroduce the inclusion of rotating bezels. In the meantime, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is set to offer 120Hz OLED screens, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 45W fast charging capabilities, and IP67 water and dust resistance across all models.
