Motorola Razr+ Retail Leak Verifies Camera and Battery Specifications
We are a little more than a week away from the introduction of Motorola’s upcoming generation of foldable Razr smartphones, and a recent retail leak has substantiated the fundamental specifications and various camera particulars of the Motorola Razr+, also recognized as Razr 40 Ultra.
As emphasized by Abhishek Yadav on Twitter, the Egyptian retailer Extra.com has prematurely published listings for the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra – which will be referred to as the Motorola Razr+, as explained earlier – thereby confirming numerous crucial details about this flagship foldable device.
The leaked listings, presently accessible, naturally provide us with a fresh set of official visuals showcasing the new Razr foldable. We are presented with images of the phone in sleek black, captivating Glacier Blue, and vibrant Viva Magenta color choices. Yet, what is arguably more captivating is the specification sheets provided in each listing.
Motorola Razr+ Display Panel:
According to this retailer, the Motorola Razr+/Razr 40 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch FHD internal pOLED display, slightly surpassing the 6.7-inch panel employed by Samsung in the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Of course, given the narrow and remarkably elongated form, the site may not offer the same tablet-like experience as one might imagine. The listing also mentions an octa-core chip operating at 3.2GHz, consistent with previous reports of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Additionally, Android 13, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage are specified.
Motorola Razr+ Battery:
Furthermore, it appears that the Razr+ will incorporate a 3,800 mAh battery, exceeding the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s capacity by 100 mAh but falling short of certain other flip foldable devices that have been launched in China. For instance, the Oppo Find N2 Flip boasts a considerably larger 4,300 mAh battery, contributing significantly to its impressive battery life. However, Motorola has included wireless charging, a feature that many of those high-capacity battery devices tend to omit.
Motorola Razr+ Camera:
Lastly, the listing makes mention of the camera capabilities. A primary 32MP sensor accompanied by an 8MP sensor, likely designated for ultrawide functionality. Curiously, the listing indicates two selfie cameras, one with a 12MP resolution and another with 13MP. However, given the space limitations, it is advisable to approach these camera specifications with a degree of skepticism.
Motorola has officially announced a launch event scheduled for June 1, unveiling the new Razr, as well as a more budget-friendly variant of the device.
