Motorola Razr 40 Ultra: Rumored Price, Specs, and Competition | Latest Foldable Phone

    Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

The alleged price tag of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, rumored to be $1,000, presents a bold maneuver against the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

According to a report from 91Mobiles Hindi, the pricing for the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has been leaked. Subsequent information from 91Mobiles in English suggests that Moto may be demanding $1,000 in exchange for the privilege of owning their latest foldable phone.

This figure is unexpectedly lower than anticipated, considering some of the leaked specifications. However, it aligns with the current market price of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the reigning champion of compact foldable in the United States. The competition is somewhat stiffer in the United Kingdom, where the remarkable Oppo Find N2 Flip beckons at a tempting £849, in contrast to the £999 Z Flip 4.

The 91Mobiles report does not provide any details on the price or specifications of a standard or Lite version of the Razr 40, which has also been the subject of rumors. One can reasonably assume that it will be priced slightly below the Ultra model, offering compromised specifications in return.

Rumors so far suggest that the Razr 40 Ultra will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset boasting 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its primary display will measure 6.7 inches and possess a refresh rate of 120Hz, accompanied by a decently sized 3.4-inch cover display. As for the camera setup, it is expected to feature a 32MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP inner selfie camera, while power and charging will be facilitated by a 3,500 mAh battery and a 33W wired power brick, respectively.

If the Razr 40 Ultra indeed starts with 256GB of storage, as opposed to the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s 128GB, it would enjoy a slight advantage in terms of pricing. For those desiring 256GB in their Z Flip, the cost would amount to $1,060.

    A resurgence in form?

Motorola’s recent line of Razrs has struggled to make significant inroads into the foldable phone market dominated by Samsung. Nevertheless, the Razr 40 appears poised to reverse this trend with its competitive price and impressive specifications. The only obstacle in its path is the imminent release of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 by Samsung, which is expected to enhance several aspects of the Z Flip experience. Consequently, the new Razr may face formidable challenges despite its enhancements.

Motorola has provided a teaser for the arrival of the Razr 40 on June 1. Soon, we shall be able to either substantiate or refute these rumors and, with any luck, experience firsthand the revival of this iconic flip phone.
