HarmonyOS 4 Coming to Huawei Smartwatches
Huawei has revealed a fresh HarmonyOS 4 deployment plan for the first quarter of 2024, owing to the large number of smartwatches vying for a piece of this big software release next year.
Huawei debuted the HarmonyOS 4 operating system in early August, and it includes a number of new features. Initially, the business launched beta activities for the Huawei Watch 4 series and completed the stable distribution to all of these smart wearable users on November 1st.
Meanwhile, the Huawei Watch GT 4 became the first Huawei smartwatch to ship with this new HarmonyOS pre-installed. As a result, users who purchase this wearable have all of the functions right away. On the other hand, the most recent super premium – Watch Ultimate Design – not only has HarmonyOS 3, but it is also on the deployment roadmap.
Because the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro were released within the last two years, they are also eligible for the HarmonyOS 4 upgrade. Along with this installation plan, Huawei will cover special edition and limited edition smartwatches. Although Huawei has already put HarmonyOS 4 on all previously released smartphones, more handsets are still being cleared to upgrade to this major version.
In comparison to HarmonyOS 3, HarmonyOS 4 for wearable devices introduces a new live window feature. Huawei also introduced entirely new animations to provide watch users with a unique user experience.
New watch face customizations will allow smartwatches to be more personalized. In that regard, interactive dials such as Astronaut support touch interactions for gameplay.
