The latest version was made available, and it improves the smartwatches and adds new functions. Models like Standard, Wellness Edition, Skagen Falster, and Diesel Griffed are among the Gen 6 smartwatches available. Fossil promises that Wear OS 3.5 would result in longer battery life for customers, however no details were disclosed. Thus, the final user’s experience may differ.

A more optimised experience will also allow the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatches to run up to 30% faster. Additionally, these models will now support more third-party apps. The user interface has also been altered, with a tile layout on the home screen, a link to Google Home, and gesture controls for easier navigation. Notably, Fitbit integration allows for improved fitness tracking in addition to improved performance.

Considering that Google recently acquired Fitbit, this is hardly shocking. We had already discussed the Wear OS 3 update for the Gen 6 watch lineup earlier this year. As a result, the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatches now support Google Assistant. However, it’s uncertain if Wear OS 4 will be included in the series.
