Facebook Officially Launches Dark Mode for Messenger

Finally Facebook reveal the dark mode for its Messenger app globally. Facebook messenger Dark mode feature was introduced in 2018 for selected users in a few countries. but now it is officially released world wide.

You won’t need to send the crescent moon emoji through the Easter egg activation method to turn on this mode. From now on, the users can enable the mode via a toggle in their settings. All they need to do is tap their profile photo.

According to Google, the dark mode can help save battery, besides the phones with an OLED show use less battery when showing dark/black colorstherefore many users select it for aesthetic reasons as wellsome other apps also provide a dark mode, including YouTube and Twitter.

If you are unable to find the option to switch to dark mode right away,

update the app or wait for a day or two. iOS and Android devices are getting the feature today.
