Facebook Officially Launches Dark Mode for Messenger
Finally, Facebook reveal the dark mode for its Messenger app globally. Facebook Messenger’s Dark mode feature was introduced in 2018 for selected users in a few countries. but now it is officially released worldwide.
You won’t need to send the crescent moon emoji through the Easter egg activation method to turn on this mode. From now on, users can enable the mode via a toggle in their settings. All they need to do is tap their profile photo.
According to Google, the dark mode can help save battery, besides phones with an OLED show use less battery when showing dark/black colors, therefore many users select it for aesthetic reasons as well. some other apps also provide a dark mode, including YouTube and Twitter.
