China’s Ambitious Goals for Humanoid Robot Innovation
A humanoid robot research center has been developed in Beijing to speed the supply of humanoid robot technologies and industrialization.
The Beijing humanoid robot innovation center company, which was officially registered at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area on Thursday, was built collaboratively by enterprises that produce entire robots, core components, and huge robot models.
The center will develop both hardware and software parent platforms, with an emphasis on addressing critical industry concerns such as the operation control system and open-source operating system.
Beijing has a national robot inspection and testing platform as well as a national robot standardization technical committee, and the Beijing robot industry development fund will be established soon. It is also constructing a shared processing center for robot processing and manufacturing, Su Guobin, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, stated.
According to a guideline issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China will strive to establish a preliminary innovation system for humanoid robots, boasting a number of small and medium-sized enterprises that specialize in the humanoid robot market with cutting-edge technologies, as well as two to three humanoid robot companies with global influence by 2025.
