Apple is preparing to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series later this year. However, prior to its official release, we have already delved into numerous rumors and leaks surrounding these upcoming smartphones. Now, the latest report unveils some intriguing updates to its design.
The Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple, appears to be contemplating subtle alterations to the rear design of the forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max models. This information was shared on Twitter by the reputable tipster, @Unknownz21. According to the leak, the brand intends to rejuvenate the camera module situated on the backside. Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will boast an entirely fresh configuration for its camera sensors, including the incorporation of a cutting-edge periscope lens.
This novel sensor will significantly enhance the magnification capabilities of the new iPhones, albeit exclusively available in the top-tier Pro models. Moreover, these innovative sensors are projected to offer an impressive optical zoom of up to 5x or 6x. The adjustment in the rear camera module layout aims to accommodate this revolutionary sensor. Conversely, the more affordable iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to sport the remarkable 48-megapixel camera found in the previous-generation iPhone 14 Pro models.
In this revamped layout, the positions of the ultra-wide-angle lens and telephoto camera on the rear camera module will be interchanged. It’s worth noting that the periscope lens, an exciting addition to the iPhone 15 Pro Max model, will be positioned between the flash and LiDAR sensor. The reconfiguration of the layout is necessitated by the inclusion of advanced hardware components that require proper integration within the module.
