Samsung says the Galaxy S24 will be an “AI phone.”
According to an exclusive source from The Elec, the much-awaited global debut of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series, which includes the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, is set for January 17, 2024.
However, in addition to products that will be delivered in a few months, the South Korean company has been registering trademarks for products that are nearly two years away, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy S25.
The company has also submitted trademark applications for other product categories, like smart rings and augmented reality glasses, in the last several months.
Samsung confirms that the Galaxy S24 will be an “AI Phone.”
An AI phone, the Galaxy S24
Samsung announced that it will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) with its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy AI experience, which will debut alongside the Galaxy S24 series and include a range of AI features, after SamMobile’s tip.
A Dutch website called Galaxy Club has discovered numerous other applications across multiple nations, one of which discloses that the Galaxy S24 would be released as an AI phone. To show how serious it is about all this AI stuff, the business has registered trademarks for names like AI Phone and AI Smartphone.
The company is looking to purchase trademarks for televisions, smartphone displays, and other products with names and logos like Magic Pixel, Flex Magic, and Flex Magic Pixel, with a focus on augmented reality spectacles.
Once more, this is a clear indication that artificial intelligence (AI) will be the most talked-about term following the release of the Galaxy S24 series. However, because of these names’ limitations, Samsung might not be granted these trademarks.
