Samsung confirmed that the repair process for the Galaxy A55 and A35 will be more convenient.
The new Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 phones from Samsung will have similarities to the high-end Galaxy S24 series. Samsung confirms that they will be simpler to fix than the previous models.
In certain areas, the Korean technology company releases official repair ratings for Galaxy phones. Coincidentally, Samsung has recently released repair scores for the Galaxy A55 and A35 in France (via GalaxyClub), even though neither of these phones are now available for purchase.
Due to enhancements in design in certain aspects and improved assistance, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 get slightly elevated repairability rankings compared to the 2023 predecessors.
More convenient to fix and greater availability of parts
Based on the ratings provided by Samsung, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 have received scores of 8.5 and 8.4 out of 10, respectively. Just to provide some information, the Galaxy A54 and A34 received scores of 8.4 and 8.3 points, respectively.
The docs state that the Galaxy A55 attains a greater repairability grade due to:
Disassembly requires simpler tools.
Parts are simpler to disassemble.
Replacement components will be accessible for an extended period to comply with European laws.
Curiously, the Galaxy A35 is not as simple to take apart as the Galaxy A34. The forthcoming Galaxy A35 has a greater overall repairability score than its predecessor, while it is somewhat less in one aspect. However, it compensates by scoring more points in other categories.
Samsung still hasn’t revealed any information regarding when the Galaxy A35 and A55 will be released. However, as we are getting closer to the one-year mark of the Galaxy A34 and A54 on March 14, the 2024 models will likely be released soon.
