Oppo Reno 12 Series Revealed in Leaked Information: Introduces MediaTek Processors with Advanced Features
Oppo’s upcoming additions to the Reno smartphone portfolio, the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, are being leaked just a month after the international launch of the Reno 11 series. It’s not unexpected given that the Reno category is updated every six months. A purported internal document has given information about the features of these upcoming devices.
Based on the leaked information, the Reno 12 might include a MediaTek CPU called MTK 24M, while the specific branding and name are yet unknown. The tablet is said to have 12GB of RAM and storage options that go up to 256 GB.

However, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro could include a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 (MTK DX-2) chipset, along with 12GB of RAM and storage choices ranging from 256GB to 512GB. Both devices might feature 6.7-inch FHD OLED screens, 120Hz refresh rates, and curved edges on all sides of their bodies.
Regarding the camera specifications, the Oppo Reno 12 series will have a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), combined with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and another 50MP camera with 2x optical zoom. When it comes to taking self-portraits, the newest Oppo flagship smartphones may feature a 50MP lens that has autofocus capabilities.
Minor differences in specs may occur between the basic and Pro models, but the fundamentals will stay the same. Specifications in the leak include a 5000mAh battery with 67W charging capability and an unusual IP65 classification for water and dust protection.

The supposed release date for the Reno 12 series is set for June 2024, although information about the cost has not been verified yet. However, the leaked information suggests that the Reno 12 may be priced around $499 (~PKR 139,000), while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro could cost around $799 (~PKR 223,000), which could be seen as a good deal for those looking for affordable high-end smartphones.
