New ‘OnePlus Pad Go’: Affordable Android Tablet Emerges
The emergence of the ‘OnePlus Pad Go’ has surfaced as a potentially more economically accessible Android tablet.
Earlier this year, OnePlus introduced its maiden Android tablet, known as the OnePlus Pad. However, there appears to be another, more cost-effective alternative in the works.
The OnePlus Pad stands as a relatively high-end Android tablet, boasting a flagship-tier MediaTek processor, a 144Hz display, and additional accessories like a keyboard and stylus. Consequently, it bears a relatively lofty price tag, retailing at $479 when not on sale, with the current limited-time offer reducing it to $429.
Evidently, a more budget-friendly option may be on the horizon.
Reports from Android Authority, citing the Twitter handle @1NormalUsername, indicate that model numbers OPD2304 and OPD2305 have made an appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. In addition, posts on OnePlus’s official forums carried the same model numbers and were linked to the moniker “OnePlus Pad Go.” These posts have since been removed.
While detailed information remains scarce, the name “OnePlus Pad Go” implies that this could be a more affordable, or at the very least, a more compact tablet. Such branding has often been associated with budget-friendly products. For instance, Google promoted “Android Go” for extremely affordable devices, emphasizing their minimal resource requirements.
Reliable insider Max Jambor also weighed in on this device, confirming its anticipated release in 2024.
