Motorola Edge 40 renders unveil a vibrant and captivating design with a dual camera setup.
Leaked Edge 40 Renders
The leaked renders of the Edge 40, which surfaced on the web, exude an air of elegance and sophistication. Shared by Evan Blass on Twitter, these official-looking renders provide a detailed glimpse of the device from various angles. This revelation comes shortly after the launch of its sibling, the Edge 40 Pro, in Europe earlier this month. While previous renders of the Edge 40 were available, these new renders offer a more comprehensive view of the device’s aesthetics.
The Edge 40 showcases design elements that are reminiscent of the Pro model, including the iconic “endless edge” display and the overall sleek design. As the successor to the well-received Edge 30, which was lauded as an affordable flagship last year, the Edge 40 boasts some noteworthy changes in its design language.
Notably, the alleged Edge 40 features a noticeably curved display that seemingly merges seamlessly with the metal frame, adorned with rounded corners. The renders also reveal an in-screen fingerprint reader and a hole-punch cutout at the top, adding to the device’s modern and sophisticated appeal.
The back of the Motorola Edge 40 showcases a textured finish on what appears to be a polycarbonate body, a common choice for affordable Android phones. In addition to the classic black colorway, Motorola seems to be introducing new color options, such as blue, green, and Magenta, possibly as a result of its partnership with Pantone, which made its debut in the U.S. with the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.
Impressive Photography Capabilities:
The camera module on the rear of the Edge 40 has been redesigned, featuring dual cameras with a high-resolution 50MP sensor as the primary lens. The module follows the sleek design language seen in Motorola’s 2023 models, such as the Moto G Power 5G. It is speculated that the Edge 40 may share the same sensor as the Edge 40 Pro, along with a secondary 12MP sensor, promising impressive photography capabilities.
Further enhancements based on the leaked renders include Dolby Atmos powered speakers, the latest Android 13 operating system out of the box, and possibly some level of water resistance, adding to the device’s premium features.
Imminent Motorola Edge 40 Launch Expected:
Motorola has yet to announce the official launch date for the Edge 40. However, the recent renders and the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification of a couple of Motorola devices (via MySmartPrice) suggest that the launch is imminent, likely to take place in May. Additionally, the first official teaser of the Moto Razr 2023, alongside rumors of a Lite version, has created anticipation for a major global launch of Motorola’s products in the upcoming weeks or months.
