During Black Friday week, EA Sports FC 24 tops the physical rankings in the UK.
This week, EA Sports FC 24 emerged as the number one physical game in the UK after the aftermath of Black Friday passed.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that EA’s football game surged back up to the top spot from third place.
Black Friday sales played a part in this, as many UK merchants offered EA Sports FC 24 for as much as 50% less than its usual price.
Sales of the game increased by 101% as a result, propelling it back to the top of the charts and knocking Hogwarts Legacy, the previous week’s top game, to the number two position.
The UK’s physical sales over Black Friday increased 7% over the same period in 2022, according to a report by GI.biz.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder rose from number five to number four in the charts, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 dropped from number two to number three.
Some of the titles that had dropped out made a comeback to the top 10 during the Black Friday promotions. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe jumped from 11th to 6th place, most likely as a result of many people purchasing Switch consoles along with a brand-new Switch OLED bundle that included with the game.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was one of the biggest winners from the Black Friday sales, rising from number 32 to number 10.
As usual, keep in mind that these are physical game charts and do not account for digital sales.
Large-scale Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox all held Black Friday sales in their own digital stores, but these rankings do not take into account the titles bought there.
