Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 200MP Camera Revolution
Xiaomi is set to employ Samsung’s 200-megapixel camera sensor in its mid-range smartphone.
Xiaomi has unveiled that its forthcoming high mid-tier mobile device, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, will incorporate a 200-megapixel camera sensor sourced from Samsung. The impending smartphone will adopt the ISOCELL HP3 sensor, which was revealed last year and marks the company’s second 200-megapixel camera sensor. An increasing number of Chinese corporations, including Infinix, Honor, and Motorola, have now embraced Samsung’s 200-megapixel camera sensors for their mobile devices.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is scheduled for launch later this month in China, boasting a standout feature in the form of its 200-megapixel primary camera sensor. This sensor is the ISOCELL HP3, boasting a camera sensor size of 1/1.4 inches and a native pixel size of 0.56μm. It possesses the capability to capture 14-bit images, providing a heightened dynamic range, and features Super QPD autofocus for a more dependable focusing mechanism. It’s worth noting that Xiaomi had previously utilized this same camera sensor in the 12T Pro.
Furthermore, this camera can also capture videos in 4K at 120 frames per second and in 8K at 30 frames per second. However, due to the Redmi Note 13 Pro+’s mid-range nature, it lacks a chipset with the capacity to record videos at 4K 120fps or 8K 30fps. The additional cameras on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ encompass an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
It has also been disclosed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ employs the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, a 4nm chipset housing two ARM Cortex-A715 CPU cores clocked at 2.8GHz, along with six ARM Cortex-A510 CPU cores and the Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. Other notable features of this smartphone encompass a 6.67-inch OLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
Rumors suggest that the smartphone may feature a 5,000mAh battery equipped with 120W fast charging capabilities. Additionally, the phone is anticipated to incorporate an in-display fingerprint reader, GPS, 5G connectivity, dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
