The Tecno Camon 20 Series: High-Resolution Rear Cameras and Unique Design
Tecno Camon 20 series, comprising a range of Android smartphones, characterized by their high-resolution rear cameras and distinctive design, has been introduced in the Indian market. Notably, the flagship model, the 20 Premier, showcases an exquisite angular rear camera bump housing a remarkable 108-megapixel shooter. Furthermore, these devices boast a spacious AMOLED display, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity processor of the mid-range caliber. Alongside the premier model, the series also includes the 20 and 20 Pro variants, which are expected to be priced from approximately $180 in this region.
Tecno has recently confirmed that the Camon 20 series will soon be available on Amazon.in, joining its predecessors. This new lineup features captivating designs, including a limited-edition Mondrian-inspired theme, exuding an air of masterful aesthetics. These enhancements contribute to the distinctiveness of the mid-tier smartphones, which showcase an impressive 120Hz FHD AMOLED display.
The series encompasses three models: the 20 Premier, the standard 20, and the 20 Pro. However, it is worth noting that the non-5G version of the 20 Pro will not be released in the Indian market. Nonetheless, the Pro model will make its debut with the same new MediaTek Dimensity 8050 System on a Chip (SoC), a feature shared with the 20 Premier.
The premier model retains its exclusive feature—the outstanding 108-megapixel main camera. While the pricing for this device has yet to be announced, it is anticipated that the 20 Pro and the standard 20 will commence at INR 14,999 (approximately $181) and INR 19,999 (approximately $241) respectively.
The vanilla version of the 20 model is scheduled to be launched tomorrow, May 29, 2023. On the other hand, the Pro and Premier variants will be available through Tecno’s Amazon store in India in June 2023. These latest additions to the Camon-series smartphones will provide a selection of at least two color options for each model, complemented by the Memory Fusion feature, allowing the expansion of RAM up to an impressive 16GB for each device.
