Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is rumored to showcase Exynos 2200, superior optics, absence of a Snapdragon variant
Rumors abound that Samsung is preparing for the unveiling of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone later this year, as per a recent tweet from the esteemed source, @Tech_Reve. It is speculated that this device will be equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 processor, with no anticipated inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon counterpart.
The decision to employ the Exynos 2200 processor instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor is believed to be a shrewd maneuver by Samsung, aimed at curtailing costs and upholding profitability. However, this strategic choice may have an impact on the sales of the Galaxy S23 FE, considering the comparatively lackluster performance of the preceding Galaxy S22 series.
Additional leaked particulars about the Galaxy S23 FE, divulged by @Tech_Reve, reveal that the device will offer either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, operating at an impressive speed of 6.4 Gbps. Expectations also point towards storage options encompassing UFS 3.1 technology, with capacities ranging from 128GB to 256 GB.
Regarding the camera configuration, rumors suggest that the front-facing camera will flaunt a 12-megapixel sensor, boasting a pixel size of 1.12um. The primary camera is purportedly equipped with an impressive 50-megapixel sensor, featuring a pixel size of 1.0um (GN3). Furthermore, the device is anticipated to incorporate a 3x telephoto lens, accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor and a pixel size of 1.0um (Hi-347), in addition to an ultra-wide-angle camera, housing a 12-megapixel sensor and a pixel size of 1.12um (IMX258).
Recent reports have also shed light on the software development phase for the European edition of the Galaxy S23 FE. The process of firmware testing has commenced for the specific model number SM-S711B. However, thus far, no firmware has been observed for the United States and South Korean variants.
This testing phase implies that the launch of the device is still some time away, potentially not until early 2024. Rumors also abound that Samsung plans to unveil highly anticipated flagship devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 by the conclusion of July.
