WhatsApp Introduces Two New Features for Windows Users

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, has introduced two new features for its Windows users. The first feature allows users to keep messages from disappearing, and the second feature adds a reactions bar to the message menu.

    • The disappearing messages feature is already available on WhatsApp’s mobile apps, and it allows users to set a timer for messages to self-delete after a certain amount of time. The new feature for Windows users expands this functionality by giving users the option to keep certain messages from disappearing. To do this, users can right-click on a message and select “Keep.” The message will then be listed in the chat info screen.

    • The reactions bar is a new feature that makes it easier for users to quickly send a reaction to a message. To use the reactions bar, right-click on a message and select the reaction you want to send. The reactions bar currently includes six reactions: thumbs up, heart, laughing face, crying face, surprised face, and question mark.

Both of these new features are currently being rolled out to beta testers, and they will be available to all Windows users in the coming days.

Here are some additional details about the new features:

    • Keeping messages from disappearing. This feature is useful for messages that you want to keep for future reference. For example, you could use this feature to keep important messages from your boss or teacher.
    • Reactions bar. The reactions bar makes it easy to quickly send a reaction to a message. This is a great way to show your appreciation for a message or to add a little humor.

How to use the new features:

To keep a message from disappearing, right-click on the message and select “Keep.” The message will then be listed in the chat info screen.

To use the reactions bar, right-click on a message and select the reaction you want to send. The reactions bar currently includes six reactions: thumbs up, heart, laughing face, crying face, surprised face, and question mark.

We hope you enjoy these new features!
