    PICO-WHU4 a small single-board computer with a Core i7 processor

    PICO-WHU4 – a diminutive but powerful computer that resembles the Raspberry Pi in design but far outperforms it with the Core i7-8665UE as the main culprit.

    The PICO-WHU4 computer is almost identical to the popular Raspberry Pi but far more powerful. The main culprits are Intel’s Celeron and Core series processors, which are far more vigorous than the Raspberry Pie-based SoCs.

    But there is one downside to this – a far higher price tag, which is several hundred US dollars depending on the model.

    Company AAEON which is affiliated with ASUS your minicomputer PICO-WHU4 offers four-processor configurations.

    Customers can choose from models based on the Celeron 4305UE, Core i3-8145UE, Core i5-8365UE, or Core i7-8665UE based on their requirements

    By default, CPU cooling is resolved by a passive cooling system, which means that the computer is quiet during operation and might be soundless.

    For users who want to keep the processor temperature as low as possible, the manufacturer also fixed up air cooling as an option.

    The PICO-WHU4 single-board computer has a single memory slot that can hold up to 16 GB of DDR4 memory (2400 MHz, SO-DIMM). To store data, the manufacturer has added a mini-PCIe slot to which an SSD device can be connected, as well as a SATA slot to which older and slower 2.5 “HDD or SSD devices can be connected.

     

    The PICO-WHU4 also comes with two HDMI (1.4b), Gigabit LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-A) and two serial ports (RS-232/422/485). Your computer can support up to 3,840 x 2,160 pixels via HDMI ports. Through M.2 2230 slots can he add support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and others, such as AI Core X with Intel Movidius Myriad VCU  om.

    The dimensions of the computer are 100 x 72 millimeters.

    The PICO-WHU4 is designed for work environments where temperatures range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. PICO-WHU4 also has a specific purpose – to be the basis for AI systems and other similar uses. The manufacturer states that the PICO-WHU4 could be operated from smart stores to smart cities.

    Detailed specifications are available on the manufacturer’s website. There is a known price for a single configuration, a midrange based on a Core i5 processor. Its price is $783.
